Welcome to our home. We recently acquired this house because we love it so much. Unfortunately for us, we are only there part time. Considering we use the house, there is everything you need and more to have a comfortable and relaxing stay at the lake. There are 3 true bedrooms. Upstairs there is a large kitchen with plenty of counter space with bar stools, gas range, large refrigerator, and dishwasher. The kitchen is open to the living room with a television, fireplace and comfortable seating with views of the lake. The eat-in kitchen has a table that extends to seat up to 8 for larger groups. Off of the kitchen is an enclosed porch with plenty of sunshine. There is a full bath upstairs down the hallway that leads to the two upstairs bedrooms. The upstairs bedrooms easily accommodate two adult couples. One room features a queen bed, while the master has a king. All mattresses in the house are memory foam. Downstairs has another full bath and two more bedrooms. The larger room is equipped for sleeping. There is a bunk bed along with a pull-out trundle bed to sleep up to 4 comfortably in this room. You will also find a pack and play for infants if needed. Utility room with washer/dryer. The remainder of the downstairs has a recreation room with a 55 inch TV over the fireplace that can be seen from the entire room. The couch pulls out to sleep up to 2. Opposite the seating area is a pool table with a Ping-Pong top. The rec room leads out to the backyard, the backyard is small, but nice. Just enough of a grassy area to hang out and enjoys the outdoors by the lake. There is a patio with a gas grill. The lot is elevated that gives great views, but there is a walk down steps to the lakefront and pier. There is a deck with bench seating by the lakeshore for a great hang-out. There is Netflix, Amazon prime, Chromecast for viewing from your smartphone and local HD channels for television content. Finally, we cannot accept pets at this time, but for allergy concerns, you should know that we have a dog that comes when we do. We hope you enjoy your stay, we sure do!

Madison’s miles and miles of bike trails are accessible just a short distance away and have some of the best views in the greater Madison area. The home is also just minutes away from Camp Randall for easy access for Wisconsin Badger games. Relax in the living area perfect for lake views, or sit outside on the deck, patio or pier. The yard is level and just steps away from the lake and is enjoyable when you grill or relax with an evening campfire in the firepit. The long dock is perfect for sunning, fishing or launching a canoe or kayak. You may wish to bring your own boat and launch it from nearby boat launches. The pier can be used to dock your boat during your stay. Please note that the pier is generally available from late April to mid-October. One single person kayak and a peddle boat are available for use as well as water tubes and inflatables. During the winter months, cross country ski or snow shoe right from the back door. The lake is also a popular ice fishing spot. The open kitchen/living area is perfect for family gatherings. A large dining table has comfortable seating for six - eight. The first-floor bedroom features a queen size bed and large closet. A bathroom with shower and laundry appliances are directly across the hall. Upstairs includes two large bedrooms (one overlooking the lake!), built-in dressers and many closets. And a “kids” room upstairs features a twin bed and double bed, Playstation4, and children books. Home includes central air and heating and ceiling fans. Your hosts are nearby to help with suggestions or lend a hand, if needed. This is a family home in a community of single family residences. We require a minimum age of 25 years for rental. This is not a party home. Guests are not allowed to throw large parties — small gatherings are fine. The neighborhood has a "no noise policy" outside after 10pm and the Lake House and guests will be asked to follow this community ordinance. A campground is 10 minutes away to share with friends Note: a friend's pontoon boat is kept at the dock. This is not available for guest use or rental. You may see them cross the yard to access the dock but will be very respectful of your privacy and space. This is the perfect lake house getaway. Our property offers the best off all worlds. We are on a 3000 acre, 35 foot deep lake with all the sporting activities you can hope for with tons of conservation land all around so you feel like you are up north. The good news is that we are 2 hours from Chicago, 70 mins from Milwaukee and most importantly only 6 miles to Capital and UW- Madison campus in downtown Madison. The entertainment and dining options are endless in a place like Madison. The house itself offers both the feel of a northwoods cabin, but with brand new super modern bathrooms, 2 year old kitchen and a newly finished basement. Our house was built in the late 1800s as an ice house. It retains all of the charm of the original knotty pine walls and 100 year old hard wood floors. When we bought the place, we brought 21st century amenities to this 19th century gem. The property offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths including a huge soaking tub. The kitchen features granite counters, new appliances, a breakfast bar and all the modern convenience. There is a dining room off the kitchen which can seat as many as 10-12 for a dinner party. The living room has a cozy fireplace, a nice seating area, large flat screen tv with cable shuffleboard game and even a stand up video game for the kids (or grown up kids!) The first floor also has a brand new washer/ dryer and a full bath with the huge soaking tub. Upstairs has all 3 bedrooms. There is a lakeside deck and fire pit in the yard as well as a nice long pier which leads to perfect sandy bottom swimming. There is an oversize BBQ grill and a basketball hoop along side of the house. This is a family style rental for quiet enjoyment, we want our guests to have a good time, but guest absolutely must be respectful of our neighbors and community. No bachelor/ bachelorette parties, drunken behavior or loud noise is allowed. please read the rules before booking to avoid any issues. We do allow pets, but there is a 45lb limit on dog size and Dogs must be leashed if they don't respond immediately to commands ( be honest about this) Dogs absolutely may not enter neighbors yards, security deposit will be forfeited immediately if they do. You can trailer your boat to the nearby public boat launch about 1.5 miles away. The fishing is fantastic, and as the least congested of the Madison chain. Our house is also a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the Coliseum Bar which usually offers bus rides to Badger games. Our house was built back in the early 1900's and proved to be the original farm house in the area, with a whole house remodel in 2010. There is plenty of room in the home at approximately 3100 sqft. You can enjoy a nice evening on the patio or hangout around the fire pit. Our property is unique in other ways as it also comes with a mother-in law suite. This unit is fully occupied but have no worries, this unit also has its own separate entrance as not to disturb your family functions. It is located at Crown Point Resort in a country setting, but is only 15 minutes from downtown Madison Wisconsin, 20 minutes from the airport, and 2 hours from Chicago's O'Hare airport. Lake Kegonsa (lake of many fishes) is one of the four large lakes starting in Madison and is generally unknown and uncrowded. The cedar sided Boathouse is at water's edge, three levels of spectacular, never ending views. The top level has the master bedroom, queen bed,2 twin beds, and a full bathroom. Walking by the Weber charcoal grill and crossing the deck takes you into the middle level, with living and dining areas,a gas fireplace, washer/dryer,full bathroom, and a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of pots and pans, dishware, dishwasher, micro, coffeepot, etc. The bottom or lake level has one bedroom with two twin beds, and another bedroom with a queen bed, and a full bathroom. All levels have great sunrise views over the lake .There is a flat screen tv in the living area and 2 smaller ones in the bedrooms. WiFi is free.Central air and heat throughout. No pets are allowed.Located at rated #1 Crown Point Resort, the Boathouse also has the VRBO highest rating. Bring your boat! There is a long pier right out the door that provides bumpers for tie up. The boat launch is 5 minutes away. Gas and bait are also close. For our guests only, we rent a 9 person pontoon boat, 6 kayaks,4 single and 2 doubles, 4 paddleboards, and a peddle boat. As we don't have a sandy beach, most everyone swims off the end of the pier and swim raft. The lake bottom is rocky or sandy. No drop offs or muck. We have other size lake cottages for rent. Call any day 8-6. No pets are allowed. This is not a party house. No bachelor or bachelorette parties. Madison has been recognized as one of the premier places to live. The best farmers market in the US, outdoor music, free zoo, art fairs, and great restaurants are minutes away. Swimming is done off of the piers as we have a rocky retaining wall.

There is no kitchen but there are coffee makers, microwave ovens and small refrigerators in each room. Our Inn is in the heart of the state street shopping and entertainment district. Other things to note While the second story apartment is pet-free, I do live on the first floor with my 7 lbs sidekick, Lilly the Miniature Pinscher. Those with severe dog allergies please take note. The house is on a single furnace and the floors share duct work. And, speaking of Lilly, she does bark when people come and go but generally quiets down quickly. And, speaking of noise, please be aware that we re two blocks from one of Madison's main traffic arteries, a block from the train tracks, and a 15 minute drive from the airport so normal city noises should be expected.
